This summer BAM is offering internship opportunities for the Mainstage
show and bamJUNIORS.
Mainstage Internships:
To apply for an internship position for the mainstage show, Chicago, you
must also audition to be part of the cast. As a Mainstage Intern, your
performance tuition will be completely covered by BAM. Specific jobs and
tasks will be determined after all applications have been received.
How do I apply?

Deadline to receive applications has been extended to April 15. Please submit
applications as early as possible.
JUNIORS Internships:
Four internship positions per cast are available for the bamJUNIORS
production, Beauty and the Beast Jr. Interns will receive a stipend at the end
of the production.
Each intern will have tasks in the following areas:
1) Directing: Your first task is to help with casting. You will work hands on
with the cast, directing selected scenes under the guidance of the director.
2) Management: Tasks might include organizing parent committees,
designing t-shirts, leading the stage crew, and more.
3) Rehearsal: Each intern will have the opportunity to run one full rehearsal.
4) Technical: Interns will be responsible for working with other BAM
employees in engineering the technical aspects of the production. This could
include lights, sound, hiring a stage crew, etc.
Candidates should possess a strong desire to learn about that "other side" of
theatre. These are all TRAINING positions. The Internship program is
designed to act as a stepping stone for individuals who would like to
eventually go on to become directors, managers, and educators. The ideal
candidates should have a unique artistic vision for the stage, possess strong
performance qualities, be extremely responsible and have a high level of
maturity, and a be a person who is willing to take initiative.
