Artistic Team Member
Lucy Richert's experience includes establishing, directing and choreographing the Hinsdale Central Show Choir. She has taught for the Academy of Music & Art, Rising Stars, and choreographed for many children's groups in the Chicagoland area.
Currently in a medical program to obtain her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Boston University, Lucy developed a dance program to specifically aide in the rehabilitation of children with differing neuromuscular disorders – she was pleasantly surprised with the excellent results of the study! In Boston Lucy continued to teach ballet, as well as act as President of BU’s "Athena's Players" (an all women’s theatre group), directing multiple stage productions. In addition, Lucy was a company member of Dance Theatre Group for 5 years.
Along with performing in Footloose and Hello Dolly as a dancer, Lucy has performed in such shows as Les Belles Soeurs (Des-Neiges Verette), Daisy Pulls it Off (Claire Beaumont), and The Many Deaths of Danny Rosales (Debbie Hall). She was even fortunate enough to be a dancer in the USA premiere cast of Elie Weissel's The Trial of God.
Lucy began choreographing for BAM in 2005 and is thrilled to be a continuous part of this thriving and ever growing BAMily.
