Artistic Team Member
Max Cervantes is a studying actor and has been a member of BAMtheatre for five consecutive years. He is currently training to receive his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from New York University Tisch’s New Studio on Broadway for Musical Theater. Through BAMtheatre, Max has been involved with over fifteen productions and has directed, choreographed, and taught more than two hundred students in a given summer season. He also served as the teaching artist for BAM’s first ever Actor’s Workshop this past winter.
In New York, Max has studied with Broadway-acclaimed actors such as Tony nominee Michael McElroy, Malcolm Gets, and Crystal Dickinson and has performed at such venues as Joe’s Pub and Dixon Place theatre.
As a performer, some of Max’s favorite roles include: Kenickie in Grease (New Studio on Broadway), Simon in MARIE (Original Cast), Cinderella’s Prince in Into the Woods (BAMtheatre), Young King Tut in the World Premiere of Nefertiti the Musical (JPAC), Billy Flynn in Chicago (BAMtheatre), Jean Valjean in Les Mis (Fenwick High School) among others.
