Melanie Lamoureux
Director, Music Director, Producer

Melanie Lamoureux, 22, is one of the youngest
experienced directors and producers in
Chicago. Having started BAMtheatre at the
age of 13, she has directed many
broadway-acclaimed shows including: Fame,
Little Shop of Horrors, Grease, Cinderella, The
Wizard of Oz and Seussical.
An accomplished performer, Melanie has had
significant roles in many Chicago and Toronto
area productions: Urinetown (Hope), Into the Woods (Cinderella), Little
Shop of Horrors (Audrey), Beauty and the Beast (Belle), Cinderella
(Cinderella), Crazy for You (Irene), Fiddler on the Roof (Hodel), Hello
Dolly (Irene), Beauty and the Beast (Babette), Footloose (Rusty),
American Girls (Felicity), Working (Newsboy), and many others.
This past spring, Melanie graduated from the University of Toronto with
a degree in Music Education. During the 2008/09 academic year, Melanie
spent her spare time as the assistant conductor for the Hart House
Chorus at the University of Toronto. Currently, she is pursuing her
Masters of Music degree at the Boston Conservatory studying Musical
Theatre.

Lucy Richert
Broadway Workshop Series Director
Lucy's experience includes establishing, directing
and choreographing the Hinsdale Central Show
Choir. Lucy, 23, has also choreographed many
children's groups and taught at the Academy of
Music + Art and Rising Stars.
Along with performing in Footloose and Hello Dolly
as a dancer, Lucy has performed in such shows as
How to Eat Like A Child (Andrea), Les Belles
Soeurs (Des-Neiges Verette), Daisy Pulls it Off
(Claire Beaumont), and The Many Deaths of Danny Rosales (Debbie Hall).
She was also a dancer in the US premiere cast of Elie Weissel's The Trial of
God.
Just finishing her undergraduate degree at Boston University, Lucy was in
many productions there including being a part of The Vagina Monologues.
She is the President of "Atena's Players" and an active member of Dance
Theatre Group. Lucy continues to study dance and voice both in Chicago and
in Boston, and is thrilled to be a part of the BAM family for another year.

Rebecca Woodle
Stage Manager
Rebecca Woodle is currently a senior at Illinois State
University studying Choral Music Education. While at
school she has participated in many different
ensembles including the Illinois State University
Concert Choir, Belle Voix (a Women's ensemble), and
Secondary Dominance (a women's a capella group).
She recently performed in the operetta The Merry
Widow as Sylviane. Throughout her life she has
performed in various plays and musicals in schools and
at the Children's Theater of Western Springs where
she took classes for 12 years. After graduating from
college Rebecca aspires to be an elementary school
music teacher. She is so excited to be involved in
another season of BAM!
Peter Bromann
Assistant Music Director
Peter comes from a diverse musical background having
started singing in choirs at a young age. His superb
piano skills have landed him many accompanying jobs
at various churches. He also works regularly with
singers, coaching them on musical style. During the
2008/09, Peter was an active member of the "Singing
Hooseirs" at IU.
Peter also has had a rich past filled with performing.
He played many roles throughout his four years at
Hinsdale Central including: Hello Dolly (Cornelius),
Seussical (Monkey), and Once on this Island. He also
has experience on the stages of the Hinsdale
Community Players, Oak Brook Academy,
Summerplace Theatre, and BAMtheatre.


Choreographer
Michele Broviak offers 25 years of experience; judging regional and national
dance competitions across the nation. She owned and operated Gotta Dance
Studio in Illinois for 17 years instructing and choreographing all forms of dance.
Her choreography has won the title of National and World Dance Champions
consecutively since the inception of her dance company in 1988. Michele has
received numerous Entertainment, Choreography and Top Teacher Awards from
various organizations. Her students have gone on to appear on Broadway,
television, touring with music artists, and have become studio owners. Michele’s
intense training has been in ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, modern, and
musical theater. She has had an extensive stage and film career, performing in
shows such as “Guys and Dolls”, “Bye Bye Birdie”, “A Chorus Line”, “Cats”,
“Annie” to name a few. She has choreographed and directed well over 30 shows
including hundreds of competition routines for her students and competitive
studios. Michele has worked with stars such as Jessica Lange, Chris O’Donnell,
Joan Cusack, and Patrick Swaze. Michele is currently a master instructor
teaching nationally.
