Melanie Lamoureux is one of the most experienced directors and producers in Chicago. She holds a Bachelors of Music Education (Voice) from the University of Toronto and a Masters of Music (Musical Theatre) from the Boston Conservatory.

Through BAM, Melanie has directed: Violet, Chicago, Little Shop of Horrors, and others. At the Boston Conservatory, Melanie directed How Can You Run With A Shell On Your Back? For her graduating thesis project, Melanie wrote, directed and performed in an original musical based on the Jeannette Walls memoir The Glass Castle. 

Throughout the year, Melanie is the Managing Director of the Jedlikca Performing Arts Center. She is also on the Faculty of Fenwick High School and teaches the Honors Choir and Drama curricula. An accomplished performer, Melanie has had significant roles in many Chicago, Toronto, and Boston area productions. Favorites include: Annie Sullivan (The Miracle Worker), Hope Cladwell (Urinetown), and Audrey (Little Shop of Horrors).
