Master Class
Master Class 2010
for Mainstage talent to perform and be coached by leading
professionals in the musical theatre industry. Five students will
be selected to perform a song of their choice for each master
dates.

Master Classes are open to the general public for observation.
There will be an admission charge of $5 per class for
non-Mainstage students. There is no admission charge for
Mainstage students.

Past master class teachers have included Janet Louer, Rhiannon Hansen, Randy
Buescher, Hollis Resnik, Mike Pesoli, and Marie Svejda-Groh.
HOLLIS RESNIK

Hollis most recently appeared as big
and little Edie in the Northlight
production of Grey Gardens. Her
Goodman credits include Wings, A
Little Night Music, House of Martin
Guerre, and The Beard of Avon.
National tours: Muriel in Dirty Rotten
Scoundrels, Mrs. Meers in Thoroughly
Modern Millie, and Fantine in Les Miserables. Other credits: Titus Adronicus, The Little
The Chairs, and The Cherry Orchard, all at Court Theatre; Pen at Appletree Theatre;
Always Patsay Cline at the Apollo; The Immigrant at Northlight; and  Rough Crossing at
Writers Theatre. She has sung with the lyric opera, CSO, and Ravinia. Regional: Alliance
Theatre, Milwaukee Rep, Indiana Rep, Long Wharf, Arizona Rep, Santa Fe Stages, and
most recently Blache in Streetcar Named Desire at Cleveland Playhouse and Lane in the
Sarah Siddons Award for Piaf. Hollis has done master classes for: Columbia College,
University of Illinois (Chicago), Northwestern University, and others. She has recorded a
CD entitled Make Someone Happy, is a proud member of AEA and a graduate of Denison

MISSY GREENBERG

Missy Greenberg is thrilled to be working with
Bam! Currently working for Stuart Oken, lead
producer of the Broadway bound musical, The
Addams Family Missy is no stranger to the stage.
After receiving her BFA in Musical Theater from
The Boston Conservatory, she traveled the
country performing and settled here in Chicago
Peter Pan (Footlighters). Diana in A Chorus Line
(Oakton Community College), Rosemary in How
to Succeed/Business (Highland Park Players), and
Rosalia in West Side Story (Actors Theatre
Company). Missy helped start the Actors
Training Center at The Wilmette Theatre
and is also a proud associate of The Broadway Dreams Foundation. Missy is very active
in the Chicago theatre community. She is currently working with Theatre Building
Chicago and The Music Theatre Company. She has produced for Lake Forest’s Citadel
Theatre, Highland Park Players and brought Citadel’s Til the Fat Lady Sings to the
Greenhouse Theatre in Chicago.
MICHAEL WEBER

Michael Weber has been a director,
actor, producer and designer working
professionally since 1985. Most
recently, he is represented with his
direction of It Had To Be You  starring
Cindy Williams and Eddi Mekka, The
Producers at The
Talley's Folly at Oak Park Shakespeare Festival, Assassins for Porchlight Music Theatre
which was Jeff Award nominated for BEST PRODUCTION and BEST DIRECTOR and
Soleil. Michael served as Artistic Director of Drury Lane Theatre Water Tower Place
where his production of Grand Hotel - The Musical was nominated for 9 Joseph Jefferson
Awards including BEST PRODUCTION and BEST DIRECTOR and where he was
instrumental in hosting in the Chicago production of Broadway's The 25th Annual Putnam
County Spelling Bee. Upcoming projects include The 5th of July and WAR of the WELLES.
Playhouse, It Had To Be You starring Cindy Williams and Eddie Mekka and Angel Street
at First Folio Shakespeare as well as working with Oskar  Eustis and Michael Freif on the
workshop of The Boy in the Bubble with The American Musical Theatre Project and
appearing as Uncle Jocko/Mr. Goldstone in Gypsy starring Patti Lupone at Ravinia. He has
appeared at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Marriott Theatre, Stages St. Louis, Indiana
Repertory, and Royal George Theatre. TV credits include Prison break, Early Edition, and
The Untouchables. Michael is the recipient of two Jeff Awards and is a Central Region

SUSAN HANDELMAN

the University of Illinois, Susan worked for 20
years as a professional actress in musical and
dramatic theater, children’s theater, and voice-
over. She has been heard on commercials for
Special K, Secret deodorant, Glade PlugIns,
United Airlines, and Progresso soups, to name
a few. She has served as Artist-in-Residence at
Chicago’s renowned Music Institute of
Chicago, taught advanced film acting for the
Chicago Center for the Performing Arts, and
created the Dramatic Arts Program at the
private coach for both professional and beginning actors, Susan specializes in helping
assisted many in getting placed with top Chicago talent agencies. In addition to producing
professional voice-over demos, she also offers in-depth scene study workshops out of her
home studio. Her students have appeared in productions at Theatre Building Chicago,
landed leading roles in television series and feature films, and are regularly accepted at
prestigious acting schools like NYU’s Tisch School for the Arts, the Lee Strasberg
Theatre & Film Institute, and the School of Theatre at Boston University. Visit her at
