***NEW & EXCITING ADD-ON FOR 21/22***

The Junior Theater Festival is a festival designed for serious minded performers who are committed to working hard and delivering an amazing performance. Organizations from all over the world attend each year and present a 15 minute condensed version of a Broadway Jr or Kids show under the license of Music Theatre International or Disney Musicals. The weekend festival includes the show presentation, workshops, guest speakers, awards, a dance party, and a ticket to a Broadway-style performance.

We will begin rehearsing the show (title announced soon!) in January, and then travel to the festival, which will be held February 18 - 20 in Sacramento, CA. Please note that festival participation and travel fees are additional costs, and not included in the tuition for JrBCE. We require one parent chaperone for every 4 students in attendance. Parents are highly encouraged to attend the festival. Please note that travel and festival participation fees are not included in JrBCE tuition. More information on the festival here.

In the final term of the JrBCE program, the students will come together to rehearse and produce their original musicals. Typically, students are divided into three writing teams, and each team writes their own short musical. The musicals will then be produced and performed over the final weekend in April.

JrBCE ATTENDANCE & PARTICIPATION POLICY
Students selected for JrBCE must participate in all components of the program. It is possible to opt out of the Festival Weekend, but we must know this at the time of the student's audition. Students are allowed no more than 3 absences from the total curriculum. View the full schedule HERE.
