BAM SUMMER MAINSTAGE

SUMMER 2024 ANNOUNCED!

The BAM Summer Mainstage offers a full scale production experience designed for students wishing to participate in a high level performance program. This program is open to high school and college students, as well as occasionally extending an invitation to younger or older participants to join! Please see more details below.

This is an audition based program, meaning students will schedule an audition prior to submitting registration and tuition. All students who audition will be cast in the production.

This program is designed primarily for High School & College age students. Students in 8th Grade as of Fall 2024 are also invited to audition. Additionally, younger students with prior experience in a BCE program may audition, though casting in these instances is not guaranteed.

IMPORTANT DATES:

Auditions - Friday, May 17

Dance Call - Monday, May 20 (5:00 - 6:30 pm)

 

Callbacks - Monday, May 20 & Tuesday, May 21

 

Company Meeting & First Rehearsal - Tuesday, May 28

 

Rehearsals will be held Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Fridays from 5 - 9pm beginning Tuesday, May 28. 

The rehearsal schedule will be a broken down call schedule. The full group will not necessarily be called to every rehearsal.

Performances - July 11 - 14, 2024

 

Auditions & Rehearsals will take place at

Avenue Christian Church (5750 Holmes Ave, Clarendon Hills, IL).

Performances will take place at Nazareth Academy (1209 W Ogden Ave, La Grange, IL).

A limited number of conflicts is acceptable, as long as the directing team is made aware of these dates prior to auditions. No conflicts during tech, and only minimal conflicts after Monday, June 17 will be permitted.

AUDITIONS:

For the audition, students are asked to prepare two one-minute song selections in the style of the show. Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key, as an accompanist will be provided. All students will be asked to bring a completed audition form, as well as a headshot (any recent picture) and a resume if they have one. PROGRAM DETAILS:

 

Tuition is $600/student.

Tuition is inclusive of participation, materials, a show shirt, and costuming. Students may be asked to provide certain basic costume pieces or foundational layers, as well as footwear. 

 

BAM is committed to making theatre programming inclusive and accessible to all. Scholarship and work-study opportunities are available.
