St. Mary of Gostyn
Choir Program

BAMtheatre is thrilled to offer an all-new choir program for the students of St. Mary of Gostyn this year! BAM is a local educational performing arts organization that has provided opportunities for youth to receive professional performing arts training and education since 2001. For over two decades, BAM has come to be known as the premiere educational theatre and performing arts organization in the area, offering a consistent and professional approach to performing arts programming. Our programs engage nearly 2000 students every year. For every BAM program, rehearsals serve as opportunities for student discovery and will incorporate a wealth of knowledge beyond the script and score.
We are thrilled to offer a performance residency program at St. Mary of Gostyn for the upcoming school year! The program will incorporate two choirs, designed for different age groups:
Elementary Choir (Grades K - 3)
Varsity Choir (Grades 4 - 8)
Choirs are open to all SMG students and parishioners. Each choir will rehearse separately, and have their own curriculum. For our inaugural year, the program will blend the worlds of traditional choir as well as show choir, affording the opportunity for students to receive excellent choral education, while also having fun with singing and dancing! Each semester will culminate with a formal concert, with each choir performing a variety of musical numbers. In addition to each formal concert, the choirs will take part in other workshop and performance opportunities throughout the school year. Looking ahead, our goal is to establish the foundation to build a competitive show choir program which would engage in competitions at the state level in future years.
